Description
Intranasal BEG spray is often used in biotoxin illnesses, specifically to treat MARCoNS. MARCoNS (multiple antibiotic resistant coagulase negative stapylococci) is an antibiotic resistant staph infection that resides deep within the sinus cavity in patients suffering from biotoxin illness. These resistant bacteria form a biofilm making it hard for many antibiotics to penetrate, sheltering the bacteria.
BEG nasal spray is an effective way to eradicate colonisation of biofilm-forming MARCoNS in the sinus cavity. BEG nasal spray’s active ingredients are a combination of two antibiotics (Mupirocin and Gentamicin) and the calcium chelator EDTA. The EDTA dissolves the biofilm coating, clearing the way for a direct attack by the topical antibiotics.
Your doctor may prescribe a higher dose of the Gentamycin (0.5%) in combination with the Mupirocin 0.2% and EDTA 1%. If this is the case please select the correct item.
