Minoxidil solution is used to help reactivate your hair’s natural growth cycle. It does this by rejuvenating your hair follicles which have become smaller due to hair loss. Maximum benefit is seen after a few months of use.
Description
Minoxidil Solution is used to help hair growth in men with male pattern baldness. Minoxidil needs to be used on a continuous basis otherwise regression will occur after stopping treatment. Minoxidil is often mixed with other ingredients for example, finasteride and retinoic acid. Select these from the drop down menu if they are on your prescription.
FINASTERIDE: commonly added as it blocks the minaturisation of hair follicles and when used topically avoids sexual dysfuction side effects.
RETINOIC ACID: Increase the absorption of other medications through the skin, therefore it is apparently increasing the amount of minoxidil reaching the hair follicles. There is experimental evidence that indicates that retinoic acid may play a significant role in hair growth by presently unknown mechanisms. There have been case reports where the use of retinoic acid alone induced a significant amount of hair growth.
