Progesterone troches are used in post menopausal women using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Each troche is scored and may be cut into quarters. If your doctor has prescribed 400mg troches x 30 we recommend you select 200mg x 60 as these are far more palatable than the 400mg. You can read more about Progesterone
Description
Progesterone is a steroid hormone and is largely produced by the corpeus luteum, although small amounts are also produced in the adrenal glands.
Progesterone is often called ‘the happy hormone’ as sometimes when women experience oestrogen dominance or progesterone deficiency they can experience anxiety. Progesterone has a calming and relaxing effect. Progesterone has many uses in both men and women.
Your doctor as prescribed a bio-identical form of Progesterone (meaning exactly the same molecules as the ones nature designed in your body since birth), thus side effects are limited to an extension of their action.
