Description
Furazolidone is an antibiotic and anti-protozoal. It is mostly used as part of combination therapies to treat resistant bacteria and parasites including Blastocystis hominis and Dientamoeba fragilis.
It is also used as part of quadruple therapy in Helicobacter pylori infections and in diarrhoea and enteritis caused by bacteria and protozoa (single celled animals)
