Description
Diltiazem is used in the treatment of anal fissures (tears). It relaxes the smooth muscle around the anus and promotes a healthy blood flow. This in turn helps to heal fissure. Diltiazem also helps to reduce anal canal pressure which further reduces spasms and pain.
